2019 -87 <br />ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z -19 -04 <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />l . That the portion of the zoning map attached to and made a part of the City <br />of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance, which now zones as Uptown D -2 Form Based Code <br />(FBC) the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z- 19 -04, is <br />hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as NMU, Neighborhood <br />Mixed Use, and that said property is hereby zoned as NMU, Neighborhood Mixed Use. <br />2 That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from Uptown <br />D -2 Form Based Code (FBC) to NMU, Neighborhood Mixed Use is furthermore <br />described as follows: <br />Z -19 -04 <br />1500 Block of High Street (South) <br />(Tax Map 0097, Parcels 0160, 0140, 0130, 0120, 0110, 0100, <br />0170, 0180, 0190, 0200, 0210, and 0220). <br />ALL THAT certain lot, piece or parcel of land, lying, being and <br />situate in Portsmouth, Virginia, and bounded and described as <br />follows: <br />COMMENCING at the southeast intersection of High Street and <br />Peninsula Avenue; thence easterly along the south line of High <br />Street 410', more or less, to the southwest intersection of High <br />Street and Twine Avenue; thence southerly along the west line of <br />Twine Avenue 220', more or less, to the northwest intersection of <br />Twine Avenue and King Street; thence westerly along the north <br />line of King Street 410', more or less, to the northeast intersection <br />of King Street and Peninsula Avenue; thence northerly along the <br />east line of Peninsula Avenue 220', more or less, to the southeast <br />intersection of High Street and Peninsula Avenue, the point of <br />beginning. <br />IT BEING all that certain property conveyed by Deed of Bargain <br />and Sale from Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority <br />to the Economic Development Authority of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia dated August 30, 2017 and recorded in the <br />Portsmouth Circuit Court Clerk's Office as Instrument Number <br />170009045. <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />
