(� 2019 -61 <br />U -:-... <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A CONTINUUM OF CARE PLANNING GRANT <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,058 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE <br />FY 2020 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL <br />SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Continuum of Care Planning Grant in the amount <br />of $35,058 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and <br />appropriates said funds in the FY 2020 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Social Services in its <br />capacity as the lead agency for the Portsmouth Homeless Area Consortium Continuum of <br />Care. <br />3. That a local match in the amount of $8,764 is required as a condition of <br />the funding, which match will be provided through in -kind contributions from the <br />Department of Social Services. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2020 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $35,058. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 27, 2019. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
