ORDINWA 2019 -59 AN ORDINANCE: (1) ACCEPTING THREE GRANTS FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND RECREATION IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $50,000 FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF A SPILLWAY CAPACITY ANALYSIS FOR LAKE MEADE DAM; (2) APPROPRIATING THE SAID $50,000 IN THE DAM UPGRADES PROJECT IN THE FY 2020 PUBLIC UTILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUND; AND (3) DECREASING THE BOND PROCEEDS REVENUE SOURCE IN THE DAM UPGRADES PROJECT IN THE FY 2020 PUBLIC UTILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND BY $50,000. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That it hereby accepts three grants in the amounts of $10,000 (DSFP -45- 19), $10,000 (DSFP- 46 -19), and $30,000 (DSFP- 47 -19), for a total of $50,000, from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and appropriates said funds in the Dam Upgrades Project in the FY 2020 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program Fund. 2. That the funds shall be used instead of Bond Proceeds by the Department of Public Utilities for the development of an Alternative Analysis for Spillway Capacity and Stability for Lake Meade Dam. 3. That the revenue source "State Funding - Grants" in the Dam Upgrades Project in the FY 2020 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program Fund is increased by $50,000 and the revenue source "Bond Proceeds" in the Dam Upgrades Project in the FY 2020 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program Fund is decreased by $50,000. That the City Manager is authorized to execute and deliver the Grant Agreements necessary or desirable to secure the funding appropriated herein. 5.
