ORDINWA 2019 -59 <br />AN ORDINANCE: (1) ACCEPTING THREE GRANTS FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND RECREATION IN THE TOTAL <br />AMOUNT OF $50,000 FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF A SPILLWAY <br />CAPACITY ANALYSIS FOR LAKE MEADE DAM; (2) APPROPRIATING THE <br />SAID $50,000 IN THE DAM UPGRADES PROJECT IN THE FY 2020 PUBLIC <br />UTILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUND; AND (3) <br />DECREASING THE BOND PROCEEDS REVENUE SOURCE IN THE DAM <br />UPGRADES PROJECT IN THE FY 2020 PUBLIC UTILITIES CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND BY $50,000. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts three grants in the amounts of $10,000 (DSFP -45- <br />19), $10,000 (DSFP- 46 -19), and $30,000 (DSFP- 47 -19), for a total of $50,000, from the <br />Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and appropriates said funds in the <br />Dam Upgrades Project in the FY 2020 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program <br />Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used instead of Bond Proceeds by the Department <br />of Public Utilities for the development of an Alternative Analysis for Spillway Capacity <br />and Stability for Lake Meade Dam. <br />3. That the revenue source "State Funding - Grants" in the Dam Upgrades <br />Project in the FY 2020 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program Fund is increased <br />by $50,000 and the revenue source "Bond Proceeds" in the Dam Upgrades Project in the <br />FY 2020 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program Fund is decreased by $50,000. <br />Public Utilities Capital Improvement Program, Dam Upgrades <br />(Project #20112) <br />State Revenue Expenditure <br />Funding - <br />Grants $ 50,000 <br />Bond <br />Proceeds $ (50,000) <br />4. That the City Manager is authorized to execute and deliver the Grant <br />Agreements necessary or desirable to secure the funding appropriated herein. <br />5.
