�H 2018 -21 <br />u�►�j <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A LITTER PREVENTION AND RECYCLING <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,849 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2018 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />STORMWATER AND WASTE MANAGEMENT DIVISIONS FOR EDUCATION <br />AND PUBLIC OUTREACH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Litter Prevention and Recycling Program grant <br />from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality in the amount of $15,849 and <br />appropriates said funds in the FY 2018 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Stormwater and Waste Management <br />Divisions for education and public outreach. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2018 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $15,849. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on April 10, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
