ORDINANCE NO. 20 08 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING STATE HOMELAND SECURITY PROGRAM <br />GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,100 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2019 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts State Homeland Security Program Grant funds in <br />the amount of $48,100 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and <br />appropriates said sum in the FY 2019 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue <br />and Emergency Services to support the ongoing needs of the Hazardous Materials <br />Response Team. <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $48,100. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 13, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
