f RDIN/iNCE 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A BULLETPROOF VEST PARTNERSHIP <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,750 FROM THE U.S. <br />DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT AS <br />REVENUE TO THE FY 2019 GENERAL FUND AS PARTIAL <br />REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF BODY ARMOR VESTS FOR <br />THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program grant in the <br />amount of $46,750 from the U.S. Department of Justice and appropriates said amount as <br />revenue to the FY 2019 General Fund. <br />2. That the grant is a partial reimbursement for funds budgeted and expended <br />in the FY 2019 General Fund for the purchase of body armor vests. <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2019 General Fund are increased by <br />$46,750. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 23, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
