ORDtlW 20-.1_. <br />AN ORDINANCE TO RE- APPROPRIATE UNEXPENDED FUNDS FROM THE <br />FY 2018 PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS GRANT FUND BUDGET IN THE <br />TOTAL AMOUNT OF $126,908 TO THE FY 2019 PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC <br />SCHOOLS GRANT FUND BUDGET. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it appropriates the sum of $126,908 into the FY 2019 Grant Fund <br />Budget for the Portsmouth Public Schools. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation is prefunded state grant money which <br />was appropriated into the FY 2018 Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund budget but not <br />expended, including: (a) $1,585 of encumbered but unexpended funds related to the Early <br />Reading Initiative Program; (b) $105,551 of unencumbered funds related to Virginia <br />Preschool Initiative Program; (c) $15,871 of unencumbered funds related to the Early <br />Reading Initiative Program; and (d) $3,901 of unencumbered funds related to the SOL <br />Algebra Readiness Program. <br />3. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Portsmouth <br />Public Schools Grant Fund budget are increased by $126,908. <br />4. That the revised funding appropriation for the FY 2019 Portsmouth Public <br />Schools Grant Fund budget is as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 9, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
