Y!\UWN NO_ 201_ <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,992 ADMINISTERED BY THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2019 GRANTS FUND FOR USE <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Local Emergency Management Grant in the <br />amount of $57,992 from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2019 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue <br />and Emergency Services for emergency preparation, response and recovery. <br />3. That a local match in the amount of $57,992 is required as a condition of <br />the grant, which match has already been appropriated in the FY 2019 General Fund <br />budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $57,992. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 9, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
