2018 -88 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING EDUCATION AND TRAINING VOUCHER <br />FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,252 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2019 <br />SOCIAL SERVICES FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL <br />SERVICES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts Education and Training Voucher funding in the <br />amount of $5,252 from the Virginia Department of Social Services and appropriates said <br />sum in the FY 2019 Social Services Fund for use by the Department of Social Services to <br />assist eligible youth with expenses associated with college and vocational training <br />programs. <br />2. That no local match is required for receipt of the grant funds. <br />3. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Social Services <br />Fund Budget are increased by $5,252. <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 25, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
