9RUKAW 2018 -78 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $17,269.84 OF FEDERAL ASSET FORFEITURE <br />FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE UNITED STATES DRUG ENFORCEMENT <br />ADMINISTRATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2019 <br />SHERIFF'S ASSET FORFEITURE FUND FOR USE BY THE SHERIFF'S <br />OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $17,269.84 of Federal Asset Forfeiture funds <br />received from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration and appropriates said <br />amount in the FY 2019 Sheriff's Asset Forfeiture Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Sheriff's Office for purposes <br />authorized by the Equitable Sharing Guide published by the United States Department of <br />Justice. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Sheriff's Asset <br />Forfeiture Fund Budget are increased by S 17,269.84. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 28, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
