ORDINAL No'.2 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $22,375.40 OF FEDERAL ASSET FORFEITURE <br />FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF <br />HOMELAND SECURITY AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY <br />2019 SHERIFF'S ASSET FORFEITURE FUND FOR USE BY THE SHERIFF'S <br />OFFICE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts $22,375.40 of federal Asset Forfeiture funds received <br />from the United States Department of Homeland Security and appropriates said amount in <br />the FY 2019 Sheriffs Asset Forfeiture Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Sheriffs Office for purposes <br />authorized by the Equitable Sharing Guide published by the United States Department of <br />Justice. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Sheriffs Asset <br />Forfeiture Fund Budget are increased by $22,375.40. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 28, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
