a N&LI-L-2 6 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN CHAPTER 23 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) (NUISANCES) BY <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 23 -1, 23 -26, 23 -27, AND 23 -91 THROUGH 23 -95, AND <br />BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 23 -90, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADDRESSING <br />CRIMINAL BLIGHT ON REAL PROPERTY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That Chapter 23 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be <br />amended and reordained by amending Sections 23 -1, 23 -26, 23 -27, and 23 -91 through <br />23 -95 as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />2. That Chapter 23 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be <br />amended and reordained by adding a new Section 23 -90 as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately on the date of its <br />adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting <br />held on August 28, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
