o jjl NL 2018_- 70 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A CONFERENCE AND EDUCATION <br />ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF FIRE PROGRAMS AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2019 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE <br />WOMEN IN PUBLIC SERVICE CONFERENCE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Conference and Education Assistance Program <br />Grant in the amount of $20,000 from the Virginia Department of Fire Programs and <br />appropriates said funds in the FY 2019 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue and <br />Emergency Services for the Women in Public Service Conference. <br />3. That no local match is required for the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2019 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $20,000. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 14, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
