it 2018 -44 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,140 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA TOURISM CORPORATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2018 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS AND TOURISM FOR A CAMPAIGN <br />TO PUBLICIZE THE PORTSMOUTH CULTURAL ARTS DISTRICT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $10,140 from the Virginia <br />Tourism Corporation and appropriates said amount in the FY 2018 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the appropriation shall be used by the Department of Marketing, <br />Communications & Tourism to publicize the Portsmouth Cultural Arts District. <br />3. That a dollar for dollar local match is required as a condition of the grant, <br />which match has been appropriated in the FY 2019 General Fund budget. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2018 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $10,140. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 26, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
