��n� 2018 -37 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $857,500 BETWEEN <br />CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE OVERALL AND FOURTH QUARTER FY 2018 <br />PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS GENERAL FUND OPERATING <br />BUDGETS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it authorizes the amendment of the overall and Fourth Quarter FY <br />2018 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund Operating Budgets through the transfer of <br />$460,000 to the Operations and Maintenance Classification. <br />2. That it authorizes the amendment of the overall and Fourth Quarter FY <br />2018 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund Operating Budgets through the transfer of <br />$397,500 to the Technology Classification. <br />3. That the sources of the transferred funds shall be: $571,000 from the <br />Instruction Classification; $70,000 from the Administration, Attendance & Health <br />Classification; $141,500 from the Pupil Transportation Classification; and $75,000 from <br />the Debt and Fund Transfers Classification. <br />4. That the funds so transferred shall be used only for goods purchased and <br />delivered on or before June 30, 2018 or for services performed on or before June 30, <br />2018. <br />5. That the revised overall and Fourth Quarter categorical funding <br />appropriations for the FY 2018 Portsmouth Public Schools General Fund Operating <br />Budget are as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 22, 2018. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
