(h) Constitutional officer, and city council positions are not eligible for annual leave <br />under this section. <br />i The city manager is authorized to promulgate policies and procedures overning the <br />granting and administration of annual leave and the compensation of employees <br />while on leave, and otherwise implementing the provisions of this section <br />2. That Section 2 -113 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) is <br />hereby amended and reordained as follows. <br />Sec. 2 -113. - Sick leave. <br />(a) Officers and full -time regular employees of the city other than fire suppression <br />employees shall accrue 13.696 hours of sick leave per nay period and fire <br />suppression employees shall accrue 5.536 hours of sick leave ner i <br />pery <br />nay period. S <br />u r vvuu. llk <br />leave earned will be credited per pay Deriod. No officer or <br />employee shall be entitled to any compensation for unused sick leave, either while <br />still employed or upon termination of employment with the city. <br />(c) Constitutional officer and city council positions are not eligible for sick leave under <br />this section. <br />(d) The city manager is authorized to promulgate policies and procedures governing the <br />granting and administration of sick leave and the compensation of employees while <br />on leave and otherwise implementing the provisions of this section <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br />
