ORION <br />2017 -108 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND REORDAIN ARTICLE XI OF CHAPTER 32 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) (STREETS, <br />SIDEWALKS, AND LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS) BY CHANGING THE NAME OF <br />ARTICLE XI TO "WIRELESS FACILITIES ", CREATING DIVISIONS 1 THROUGH 5 <br />THEREOF, AMENDING AND /OR MOVING EXISTING SECTIONS 32 -301 THROUGH <br />32 -310, AND ESTABLISHING NEW ADDITIONAL SECTIONS, ALL FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF GOVERNING THE PLACEMENT OF WIRELESS FACILITIES <br />WITHIN THE CITY'S PUBLIC WAYS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That Article XI of Chapter 32 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />(2006) (Streets, Sidewalks, and Local Improvements) be amended and reordained by changing <br />the name of Article XI to "Wireless Facilities ", creating Divisions 1 through 5 thereof, amending <br />and /or moving existing Sections 32 -301 through 32 -310, and establishing new additional <br />sections for the purpose of governing the placement of wireless facilities within the City's public <br />ways, all as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />2. That this Ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />December 12, 2017. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
