ORMM 2017 -94 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $92,360 FROM <br />THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2018 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR PORT SECURITY, INCLUDING <br />REPAIRS AND UPGRADES TO THE SAFE BOAT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $92,360 from the U.S. <br />Department of Homeland Security and appropriates said funds in the FY 2018 Grants <br />Fund. <br />2. That the grant will be used by the Portsmouth Police Department for Port <br />Security, including repairs and upgrades to the SAFE Boat. <br />3. That a cash match of $30,787 is required as a condition of the grant, which <br />match previously has been appropriated in the FY 2018 General Fund Budget for use by <br />the Portsmouth Police Department. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2018 Grants Fund are <br />increased by $92,360. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 10, 2017. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
