(fl any other information prescribed by the city engineer. <br />Sec. 32 -129. - Maintenance and identification. <br />All companies owning, using or erecting poles <br />in this city shall keep such poles in good condition. Such companies shall indicate upon <br />each pole the name of the owner. <br />Sec. 32 -131. - Joint use generally. <br />In granting permits to erect poles , the city <br />reserves the right, if the interest of the city demands and to the extent permitted by law, to <br />authorize other companies or persons to use the same poles for their purposes upon <br />payment of proper compensation to the owner thereof. All permits shall be subject to <br />these conditions, and, in accepting the permit, the applicant binds himself thereto. <br />Sec. 32 -132. - Use by city. <br />To the extent permitted by law t =he city reserves the right to place city -owned <br />communication and signal wires and other related equipment and facilities on all poles <br />erected in its alleyways or public places onor streets, free of cost or expense to the city. <br />Sec, 32 -135. — Uniformity of height. <br />All poles installed by virtue of a permit granted under this article shall be of uniform <br />height, unless the city engineer shall authorize to the contrary for good cause shown. <br />Sec. 32 -136. — Height limit. <br />No pole shall exceed 50 feet in height, measured from the surface of the street <br />unless the city engineer shall authorize to the contrary for good cause shown. <br />Sec 32 -137 — Underground Districts <br />No new pole shall be installed in an underground district designated under article V <br />of this chapter. <br />3. Chapter 32 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) is amended by <br />adopting a new Article XI as follows: <br />ARTICLE XI. — CO- LOCATION OF SMALL CELL FACILITIES ON EXISTING <br />STRUCTURES <br />Sec. 32 -301. — Definitions. <br />
