i~~ ~~ ~~2016 73 <br />t ~ - <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT' $52,777 IN EMERGENCY SERVICES <br />INITIATIVE FUNDING FROM THE VIRGININA DEPARTMENT OF <br />BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES AND TO <br />APPROPRIATE SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2017 BEHAVIORAL <br />HEALTHCARE SERVICE FUND BUDGET FOR USE IN FURTHERANCE OF <br />REDUCING THE RECIDIVISM RATE OF ADULTS ADMITTED TO EASTERN <br />STATE HOSPITAL AND EXPEDITING THE DISCHARGE OF INDIVIDUALS <br />FROM GERIATRIC PROGRAMS AT EASTERN STATE HOSPITAL. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts the sum of $52,777 of funding received from the <br />Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and appropriates <br />said amount in the FY 2017 Behavioral Healthcare Service Fund. <br />2. That said funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Department of Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services in furtherance of reducing the recidivism rate of adults admitted to <br />Eastern State Hospital and expediting the discharge of individuals from geriatric <br />programs at Eastern State Hospital. <br />3. That no local match is required in order to obtain said funds. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Service Fund are increased by $52,777. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 27, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
