~ :' F~~ ~, R ~ ~ ~, ~ 2 01-~-:6 5:~ <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $522,141 OF TITLE IV, PART B, 21sT <br />CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS GRANT FUNDING FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO THE FY 2017 GRANT <br />FUND BUDGET FOR THE PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS, WITH $441,633 <br />OF SAID AMOUNT .APPROPRIATED IN THE INSTRUCTION <br />CLASSIFICATION, $5,748 IN THE ADMINISTRATION, ATTENDANCE & <br />HEALTH CLASSIFICATION, AND $74,760 IN THE PUPIL TRANSPORTATION <br />CLASSIFICATION. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it appropriates the sum of $522,141 to the FY 2017 Portsmouth <br />Public Schools Grant Fund budget in the following classifications: $441,633 in the <br />Instruction Classification, $5,748 in the Administration, Attendance & Health <br />Classification, and $74,760 in the Pupil Transportation Classification. <br />2. That the source of the appropriations is Title IV, Part B, 21St Century <br />Community Learning Centers grant funding from the Virginia Department of Education. <br />3. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2017 Portsmouth <br />Public Schools Grant Fund budget are increased as follows: by $441,633 in the <br />Instruction Classification; by $5,748 in the Administration, Attendance & Health <br />Classification; and by $74,760 in the Pupil Transportation Classification. <br />4. That the revised categorical funding appropriations for the FY 2017 <br />Portsmouth Public Schools Grant Fund Budget are as shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 23, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
