~ ~ ~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $1,554,092 IN .THE <br />INSTRUCTION CLASSIFICATION OF THE OVERALL AND FIRST QUARTER <br />FY 2017 TEXTBOOK FUND BUDGET FOR THE PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC <br />SCHOOLS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the .City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it appropriates the sum of $1,554,092 in the Instruction <br />Classification of the overall and First Quarter FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools <br />Textbook Fund Budget. <br />2. That the sources of the appropriation are (a) $114,,106 in funds <br />appropriated by the City to the FY 2016 Textbook Fund which were encumbered but not <br />expended prior to June 30, 2016 and (b) $1,439,986 in funds appropriated by the City to <br />the FY 2016 Textbook Fund which were neither encumbered nor expended prior to June <br />30, 2016. <br />3. That the estimated revenues and expenditures in the Instruction <br />Classification of the overall and First Quarter FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools <br />Textbook Fund operating budget are increased by $1,554,092. <br />4. That the revised overall and First Quarter categorical funding <br />appropriations for the FY 2017 Portsmouth Public Schools Textbook Fund Budget are as <br />shown on Exhibit A hereto. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 9, 2016. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
