~ f ~~~ 2 01~ ~; ~ 9 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AN EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL JUSTICE <br />ASSISTANCE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $67,837 FROM THE U.S. <br />DEPAKTMENT OF JUSTICE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY .2015-16 GRANTS FUND TO <br />PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND TO SUPPORT THE CIRCUIT COURT DRUG <br />COURT PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance <br />Grant in the amount of $67,837 from the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice <br />Assistance and appropriates said funds in the FY 201 ~-16 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department to <br />purchase equipment and to support the Circuit Court Drug Court Program. <br />3 That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 Grants Fund <br />are increased by $67,837. <br />~. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 27, 2015. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
