~ ~~~ ~ 2 015-_ 61 <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM <br />GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $69,013 FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF <br />HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />FUNDS IN THE FY 2015-16 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO <br />ELIGIBLE CHRONICALLY HOMELESS PORTSMOUTH RESIDENTS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Supportive Housing Program grant in the amount <br />of $69,013 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and <br />appropriates said funds in the FY 2015-16 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services to provide case management support and assistance to chronically homeless <br />Portsmouth residents with severe mental illness, chronic substance use addictions, <br />intellectual and developmental disabilities, and/or HIV/AIDS who receive rental <br />assistance through the City's Shelter Plus Care grant from the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development. <br />3. That the grant requires a local match in the amount of $17,350, which <br />funds have been appropriated previously. <br />4. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 Grants Fund <br />are increased by $69,013. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 22, 2015. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
