~ ~~~ 2015-58, <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,073 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2015-16 GRANTS FUND TO <br />PROVIDE FUNDING TO OPERATE LOCAL PROBATION AND PRETRIAL <br />SERVICES IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $5,073 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and appropriates said funds in the FY <br />2015-16 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used by the Sheriffl s Department to fund the <br />Community Corrections and Pretrial Services Program. <br />3. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />4. That the funds accepted and appropriated by this Ordinance supplement <br />grant funds in the amount of $544,950 which were accepted and appropriated by <br />Ordinance Number 2015-48 adopted on July 28, 2015, resulting in a total DCJS grant for <br />the Community Corrections and Pretrial Services Program of $550,023. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 Grants Fund <br />Budget are increased by $5,073. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 8, 2015. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
