2015-49 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $409,310 OF FUNDING RECEIVED <br />FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE COMMONWEALTH OF <br />VIRGINIA IN THE FY 2015-16 ASSET FORFEITURE FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby appropriates the sum of $409,310 in the FY 2015-16 Asset <br />Forfeiture Fund for the Portsmouth Police Department. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation shall be Asset Forfeiture Funds <br />received by the Portsmouth Police Department from the federal government and the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia. <br />3. That it authorizes the use of the appropriation by the Portsmouth Police <br />Department for various law enforcement purposes in accordance with the federal and <br />state requirements applicable to the funding. <br />4. That no local match is required for the funds. <br />5. That estimated revenues and expenditures in the FY 2015-16 Asset <br />Forfeiture Fund Budget are increased by $409,310. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 28, 2015. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
