WHEREAS, for the reasons and purposes stated above, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia <br />desires to approve both the Amended and Restated Creation Agreement and the Amended and <br />Restated Service Agreement. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia that it hereby approves, and authorizes and directs the Mayor or City Manager to <br />execute and City Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City Portsmouth, Virginia, that certain <br />Amended and Restated Agreement For Creation of the Hampton Roads Regional Jail Authority <br />and that certain Amended and Restated Service Agreement among the Hampton Roads Regional <br />Jail Authority and its members, copies of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting duly held on <br />August 12, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
