FY 2014-15 ASSET FORFEITURE <br />FUND THE SUM OF $6,937 RECEIVED FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES FOR USE BY THE COMMONWEALTH'S <br />ATTORNEY TO SUPPLEMENT ~, SALARIES, TRAIN OFFICE STAFF, AND <br />PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND OFFICE SUPPLIES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby authorizes and appropriates the sum of $6,937 in the FY <br />2014-15 Asset Forfeiture Fund. <br />2. That the source of the appropriation is funds received from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services. <br />3. That the funds shall be used by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office to <br />supplement salaries, train office staff, purchase equipment and office supplies in <br />accordance with Department of Criminal Justice Services guidelines. <br />4. ,That no local match is requirement for the funds. <br />5. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Asset Forfeiture Fund and the <br />FY 2014-15 City Operating Budget are increased by $6,937. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 25, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
