2014-89 Y~., <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $76,595 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE-BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2014-15 GRANTS FUND TO <br />PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND TO SUPPORT THE CIRCUIT COURT DRUG <br />COURT PROGRAM. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $76,595 from the U.S. <br />Department of Justice-Bureau of Justice Assistance and appropriates said funds in the <br />FY 2014-15 Grants Fund. <br />2. That the funds shall be used by the Portsmouth Police Department to <br />purchase critical incident equipment and to support the Circuit Court Drug Court <br />Program. <br />3. That no local cash or in-kind match is required as a condition of the grant. <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget and FY <br />2014-15 Grants Fund are increased by $76,595. <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 14, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
