~~~ 1~~, A~.~ ~~ 204 74 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $398,312 FROM THE <br />FY 2014-15 UNDESIGNATED FUND BALANCE TO THE FY 2014-15 GENERAL <br />FUND AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS TO PROVIDE AONE-TIME 3% <br />BONUS TO THE CITY'S CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS AND THEIR <br />EMPLOYEES. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That it hereby authorizes the transfer of $398,312 from the FY 2014-15 <br />Undesignated Fund Balance to the FY 2014-15 General Fund and appropriates said <br />amount in the FY 2014-15 General Fund. <br />2. That the appropriated funds shall be used to provide aone-time, lump sum <br />bonus to the City's constitutional officers and their employees in an amount equivalent to <br />3% of their FY 2014-15 salaries. <br />3. That the bonus is in lieu of a salary increase by the Commonwealth of <br />Virginia for FY 2014-15. <br />4. That the bonus shall be credited against and shall not be in addition to any <br />FY 2014-15 salary increase that may awarded by the Commonwealth subsequent to the <br />adoption of this ordinance. <br />5. That estimated revenues in the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget and the FY <br />2014-15 General Fund are increased by $398,321. <br />6. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 26, 2014. <br />Teste: <br />City Clerk <br />
