<br />.I <br /> <br />JHiliiiANCE MO~Ui&~~" <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$45,948 FROM THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS FUND <br />FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO REDUCE DRIVING UNDER <br />THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts grant funding in the amount of $45,948 from the <br />National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the U.S. Department of <br />Transportation and appropriates said amount in the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund for use by <br />the Portsmouth Police Department to reduce driving under the influence of alcohol. <br /> <br />2. That an in-kind match of $22,474 is required for the grant. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and in the <br />FY 2013-14 Grants Fund are increased by $45,948. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 24,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
