<br />U. ,,'.nUJAlU"C lIn 2013-4L <br />KUIl'~ rtU- 1 .~.... <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A FOUR FOR LIFE GRANT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $72,951.84 FROM THE VIRGINIA OFFICE OF <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN <br />THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, <br />RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City Council hereby accepts a Four-for-Life grant in the amount <br />of $72,951.84 from the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services and appropriates <br />said amount in the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That said funds shall be used by the Department of Fire, Rescue, and <br />Emergency Services for training and purchases in support of the delivery of emergency <br />medical services. <br /> <br />3. That no cash match is required in order to obtain the grant funds. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and the FY <br />2013-14 Grants Fund are increased by $72,951.84. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on August 27,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
