<br /> <br />uHUINANCE NO 2013-34 <br />--~,,,,,,,", <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 6 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006) BY ADOPTING A NEW SECTION 6-7 PERTAINING TO <br />THE REGULATION OF CITY-OWNED OR CITY-OPERATED PIERS, WHARVES, DOCKS <br />AND LANDINGS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That a new section 6-7 is hereby adopted and added to the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec.6-7. City piers, wharves, docks, landings, etc.; regulation. <br /> <br />The City Manager or his designee shall establish such rules and regulations as he or she shall <br />deem necessary for the safe, sanitary, orderly, and efficient operation of city-owned or city-operated <br />piers, wharves, docks, landings, and other similar water-related or water-dependent facilities. Municipal <br />swimming pools shall be regulated under the provisions of Chapter 25 of this Code. <br /> <br />2. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on June 11, <br /> <br />2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
