<br />Sec. 16-33. Substances permitted in containers. <br /> <br />No substance other than garbage, trash or recyclables shall be placed in the approved <br />containers required by section 16-32. <br /> <br />Sec. 16-36. Frequency, times and dates containers and bulk refuse to be placed for <br />collection. <br /> <br />(a) Garbage and household trash accumulated at residences shall be collected by the <br />city one (1) time each week, except when otherwise designated by the city manager or his <br />designee. <br /> <br />(b) Recyclables shall be collected every other week on the same day as waste <br />collection, except when otherwise designated by the city manager or his designee. <br /> <br />(c) Normally, in the areas receiving automated refuse and recycling collection, <br />residents may place the container for collection at any time after 5 :00 p.m. the day before and by <br />7:00 a.m. on days of collection or as specified by the director. Such receptacles should be <br />removed from the collection site as soon as possible after collection and stored beside or behind <br />the dwelling or at a site acceptable to the director. Receptacles must be removed by the evening <br />of collection day. Yard waste packaged in clear plastic bags shall be placed out for collection at <br />the same time as the automated refuse container. <br /> <br />(d) Bulk refuse collection shall normally be on the same day as garbage collection. <br />Residents may place bulk refuse for collection any time the day before scheduled collection but <br />not after 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection, or as specified by the director. Tires, white goods, <br />and cardboard set out for collection must be separated from bulk refuse. <br /> <br />3.
