<br />R-li2-44 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING A DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY FOR <br />HURRICANE SANDY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager of the City of Portsmouth, acting in his official <br />capacity of Director of Emergency Management, did on October 27,2012 declare a Local <br />Emergency in anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Sandy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XIII of Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />it is now incumbent on City Council to take official action ratifying said declaration of <br />emergency: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that said Declaration of Emergency is hereby ratified and approved. <br />The Acting City Manager is further authorized to take all actions reasonable and necessary to <br />complete implementation of all actions taken to respond to said emergency. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />November 13,2012. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
