<br />R-12-27 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN <br />EASEMENT TO COLUMBIA GAS OF VIRGINIA, INC. TO INSTALL A <br />CONNECTING GAS PIPELINE FROM AN EXISTING PIPELINE ON THE <br />CHURCHLAND HIGH SCHOOL PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES COAST <br />GUARD STATION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the School Board of the City of Portsmouth, on May 24, 2012, adopted a <br />resolution approving the granting of an easement to Columbia Gas of Virginia, Inc., to install a <br />connecting gas pipeline from an existing pipeline on the Churchland High School property to the <br />United States Coast Guard Station, as shown on the attached Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, as owner of record of the subject property, must <br />execute the necessary Deed of Easement. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Deed of Easement to Columbia <br />Gas of Virginia, Inc., and take all other steps necessary to grant the requested easement. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held on June <br />26,2012. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
