<br />R-12-57 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REPEALING AND AMENDING CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF <br />GROUP HOUSING USE PERMIT (GHP-06-02A) AT 723 AND 725 HIGH <br />STREET AND 714 KING STREET. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Virginia Housing Development Authority, pursuant to Section 40.1- <br />2.3 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006), as amended, has made <br />application for repeal and/or amendment of the conditions of Group Housing Use Permit <br />(GHP-06-02A) at 723 and 725 High Street and 714 King Street, Portsmouth, Virginia; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council originally approved Housing Use Permit (GHP-06- <br />02) by Resolution R -06-18 on April 11, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is furthermore described as: <br /> <br />GHP-06-02A <br />723 High Street <br /> <br />All that certain lot piece or parcel of land with its <br />appurtenances situate in the City of Portsmouth Virginia <br />and being bounded and described as follows to wit: <br />Beginning at a point on the south side of High Street 180 <br />feet west of the southwest intersection of High Street and <br />Green Street and from thence running west along the south <br />side of High Street eight 8 feet more or less to the brick <br />building of S Lasting thence south along the line of said <br />brick building 113 feet thence east eight feet more or less <br />and thence north 113 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />725 High Street <br />That certain lot piece or parcel of land with the buildings <br />and improvements thereon and the appurtenances thereunto <br />belonging situate on the south side of High Street between <br />Effingham Street and Green Street in the City of <br />Portsmouth Virginia bounded and described as follows: <br />Beginning 135 feet east from the southeast intersection of <br />Effingham Street with High Street thence east along High <br />Street 45 feet thence south 113 feet thence west 45 feet and <br />thence north 113 feet to the point of beginning. It being the <br />same property conveyed to M M Crockin Company Inc., a <br />Virginia corporation, by deed from Hyman Lasting and <br />Edna Lasting, his wife; Sol Lasting and Elizabeth Lasting, <br />his wife; Leon Lasting and Kathryn Lasting, his wife; Rose <br />L Kanter, widow; Flossie L Rosen, widow; Isabelle K. <br />Lasting, wife of Philip Lasting; and Leonard G Karp and <br />Isabelle R Lasting, Executors of the Estate of Philip Lasting <br />
