<br />llRllItWG II~ 2012.:63. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $572,829 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES <br />AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2010-2011 GRANTS FUND <br />TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO OPERATE LOCAL PROBATION AND PRETRIAL <br />SERVICES IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $572,829 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates said funds in the FY 2010- <br />2011 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That no local matching funds are required as a condition of the grant. <br /> <br />3. That the grant funds will be used to provide funding for the Sheriff s <br />Department Community Corrections and Pretrial Services Program to operate local <br />pretrial and probation services in the City. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2010-2011 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $572,829. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 27,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
