<br />8RDINANCE 1IO.2010-~~, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $32,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2009-2010 GRANTS FUND FOR <br />SUPPORT OF THE PORTSMOUTH CITIZENS CORPS PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $32,000 from the Virginia <br />Department of Emergency Management. <br /> <br />2. That no local match is required, and that the funds shall be used by the <br />Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services for the Portsmouth Citizens Corps <br />Program to acquire additional supplies and equipment and to provide training to ensure <br />the future of the CERT, Neighborhood Watch, MRC, and PARES programs. <br /> <br />3. That said funds are appropriated in the FY 2009-2010 Grants Fund and <br />estimated revenues in said Fund are increased by $32,000. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on June 8, 2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
