<br />R-10-19 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />EASEMENTS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO <br />PROVIDE UTILITIES TO THE NEW SIMONSDALE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the School Board of the City of Portsmouth has begun construction <br />of a new Simonsdale Elementary School; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current and new schools are located on property owned by the <br />City as a result of annexation in 1960; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the construction of the new school building will require the <br />construction of utility lines to serve the building and its other appurtenances. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is authorized to execute <br />such easements and other documents as may be required in order to provide necessary <br />utilities to the new Simonsdale Elementary School. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a meeting of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia held <br />on May 25,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br />
