<br />R-09-32 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH <br />THE ZUNI MARITIME FOUNDATION, INC., CONCERNING A BERTHING <br />AGREEMENT FOR THE FORMER UNITED STATES NAVY-UNITED STATES <br />COAST GUARD VESSEL "ZUNI-TAMAROA" AT THE NORTH LANDING. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City <br />Manager, acting for and on behalf of the City, is authorized and directed to execute and deliver <br />an agreement substantially the same as the attached "Memorandum of Understanding for <br />Berthing the Former United States Navy - United States Coast Guard Ship "Zuni- Tamaroa," <br />which has been approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is further authorized to take such <br />other actions as may be reasonably necessary to implement the intent of said instrument. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be effective upon the date of <br />its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on June <br />23, 2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
