<br />R-09-07 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING APPROV At OF A HOUSING PERMIT (HP-08- <br />04) TO THE PORTSMOUTH REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT 290 RESIDENTIAL UNITS ON A PORTION OF <br />THE AREA FORMERLY KNOWN AS JEFFRY WILSON AT THE <br />SOUTHEASTERN CORNER OF FREDERICK BOULEVARD AND TURNPIKE <br />ROAD, PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority, pursuant to <br />Section 40-112 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006), as amended, has <br />made application for the granting ofa housing use permit (HP-08-04) to construct 289 <br />residential units on a portion of the area formerly known as Jeffry Wilson and located at <br />the southeastern comer of Frederick Boulevard and Turnpike Road in Portsmouth, <br />Virginia; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property is furthermore described as: <br /> <br />HP-08-04 <br /> <br />ALL THOSE certain lots, pieces or parcels of land, or <br />portions thereof, lying, being and situate in the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, and constituting all that certain <br />property shown on the Survey attached hereto as Exhibit A <br />(the "Survey"), TOGETHER WITH an additional strip of <br />land commencing at the southern line of Turnpike Road 5' <br />to the northeast of the northeasternmost point of the <br />intersection of the property shown on the Survey with the <br />southern line of Turnpike Road, and thence running parallel <br />to the eastern line of the "2-Way Street (50' R/W) Turnpike <br />Entrance St. No.3" shown on the Survey to the intersection <br />of said 5' strip with the eastern line of the property; LESS, <br />SAVE and EXCEPT (1) those certain areas designated as <br />"Parcel L" and "Parcel M" on the Survey, (2) the area <br />between said parcels "L" and "M" and Frederick Boulevard <br />and Turnpike Road shown on the Survey as to be dedicated <br />for right of way, and (3) that certain area lying between <br />"Parcel L" and "Parcel M" and shown on the survey as a <br />portion of "2-Way Street (88' R/W) Main St. No. I". Said <br />property is more particularly described as follows, with <br />partial reference to the Survey: <br /> <br />COMMENCING at a point in the northern line of the CSX <br />Railroad 100' R/W as shown on the Survey 1,544.43' east <br />of the northeastern intersection of the CSX Railroad 100' <br />R/W and Frederick Boulevard; thence along the northern <br />line of the CSX 100' R/W as shown on the Survey S <br />62047'31" W 1152.23', more or less, to the <br />
