<br />R-09-66 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A <br />MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT REGARDING THE HAMPTON ROADS <br />REGIONAL FATS, OIL, AND GREASE (FOG) ABATEMENT PROGRAM. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the control of Fats, Oil and Grease (FOG) is a regional effort in <br />response to EP A enforcement priorities and is included as a special order in the regional <br />consent order with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission has <br />recommended the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement by its member localities as <br />a first phase of Hampton Roads Regional Fats, Oil, and Grease (FOG) Abatement <br />Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City staff has also recommended execution of such an agreement. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia that it hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a regional <br />Memorandum of Agreement concerning the Hampton Roads Regional Fats, Oil, and <br />Grease (FOG) Abatement Program. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 10,2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
