<br />R-09-64 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CITY'S 2011 FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE AGENDA <br />PACKAGE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Congress deals with a broad range of issues that affect <br />local government both directly and indirectly; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth has certain concerns that deal with both Portsmouth <br />specifically and local governments in general; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these concerns need to be made known to Portsmouth's congressional <br />delegation so that they may be transmitted for consideration by the Senate and the House of <br />Representatives. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that it endorses the attached Fiscal Year 2011 Federal Priorities for thellih Congress <br />and directs that both this resolution and the requests therein be forwarded to the City's <br />congressional representatives <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />October 27,2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
