<br />i. Noncommercial sign: In all Downtown zoning subdistricts.
<br />j. Projecting sign: In the D-l (T5, T6, and SD subdistricts) and D-2(General
<br />Urban Frontage, Storefront Frontage, Workshop Frontage, subdistrictstdistricts.
<br />k. Temporary sign, including temporary banner signs: In the D-l (T4, T5, T6,
<br />and SD subdistricts) and D-2(General Urban Frontage, Storefront Frontage,
<br />Workshop Frontage, subdistricts) district.
<br />I. Wall sign: In the D-l (T4, T5, T6, and SD subdistricts) and D-2 (General
<br />Urban Frontage, Storefront Frontage, Workshop Frontage, subdistricts) districts.
<br />m. Window sign: In the D-1 (T4, T5, T6, and SD subdistricts) and D-2 (General
<br />Urban Frontage, Storefront Frontage, Workshop Frontage, subdistricts) districts.

<br />Sec. 40-65.3. Computations related to signs; maximum sign area totals.
<br />Computations related to the interpretation and construction of this article shall be made in
<br />accordance with the following principles
<br />
<br />(d) Maximum display area: On-premises signs.
<br />(i) The maximum advertising display area for on-premises signs located on any
<br />property zoned Office Residential OR, Residential RM, Residential RT, or
<br />Residential RMH or in any Historic zoning district or in the D-l (T3 subdistrict)
<br />or D- 2 (Townhouse Small Apt., Detached House subdistricts) districts shall be 18
<br />square feet per sign face.
<br />(ii) The maximum advertising display area in the Commercial C-l and C-2,
<br />Industrial M-l, M-I-R, and M-2, Waterfront W-1, Commerce Park CP zoning
<br />districts and in the D-l (T4, T5, T6, and SD subdistricts) and D-2 (General Urban
<br />Frontage, Storefront Frontage, Workshop Frontage, subdistricts)districts shall be
<br />the larger ofthe following:
<br />a. One square foot per linear foot of street footage of the zone lot;
<br />provided, that no individual on-premises sign may exceed 125 square feet
<br />per sign face; or
<br />b. Ten percent of the area (square footage) of the front building facade,
<br />not to exceed 40 square feet per sign face, for on-premises signs located
<br />on zone lots with street frontages of 40 feet or less.

<br />Sec. 40-65.8. Definitions and conditions; size and height limitations; setbacks.
<br />
<br />Sign, temporary. A temporary sign or display is a sign constructed of cloth, canvas, fabric,
<br />paper, plywood or other light materials.
<br />(i) Such signs shall be subject to the limitations as to size, height, and location
<br />requirements of the zoning district in which they are located.
<br />(ii) Temporary signs may include A-frame or T-frame signs in the Downtown D-l (T4,
<br />T5,and T6 subdistricts) zoning district and such signs shall require the issuance of an
<br />annual certificate of compliance and depositing with the city manager and keeping
