<br />(i) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, the City may proceed to <br />make repairs and secure the building under Section 17-1 of the City Code, or the City <br />may proceed to abate or remove a nuisance under Section 15.2-900, et seq., of the Code <br />of Virginia. In addition, the City may exercise such remedies as may exist under the <br />Uniform Statewide Building Code and such other remedies available under general and <br />special law. <br /> <br />3, That this Ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 11, 2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
