<br />ORDINAtE[ 10. 200.%~.: <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $572,829 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE <br />SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2009-2010 <br />GRANTS FUND TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR PROBATION AND PRETRIAL <br />SERVICES IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $572,829 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services to be used by the Sheriffs Department to <br />provide funding for probation and pretrial services in the City. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $572,829 is appropriated in the FY 2009-2010 Grants <br />Fund, and estimated revenues in said Fund are increased by the amount of $572,829. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 28,2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
