<br />ORDINANCE NO.2008-20 <br /> <br />.4 _.__ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $441,997 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID SUM IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS FUND BUDGET TO <br />FUND THE SHELTER PLUS CARE PROGRAM AND THE SUPPORTIVE <br />HOUSING PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth accepts a grant awardof$44l,997 from the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund the Shelter Plus Care Grant and the <br />Supportive Housing Program to be administered by the Department of Behavioral Healthcare <br />Services. <br /> <br />2. That no local match is required for the Shelter Plus Care Grant of$372,984, <br />and that a local match of$13,843 for the Supportive Housing Grant of $69,013. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenue in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund budget is increased <br />by $441,997, and that said amount is appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund Budget. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />March 11, 2008. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
