"J~...",.,~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,830 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2007-2008 GENERAL <br />FUND OPERATING BUDGET TO BE USED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE, <br />RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR TRAINING AND MEDICAL <br />SUPPLIES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant from the Virginia Office of Emergency Services in <br />the amount of $70,830 to be used by the Portsmouth Department of Fire, Rescue, and <br />Emergency Services to fund the training of emergency medical service personnel and to <br />purchase necessary medical equipment and supplies. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $70,830 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 <br />General Fund Operating Budget for said purposes. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2007-2008 General Fund Operating <br />Budget are increased by $70,830. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 27,2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
