<br />8RDIWG.JOOt~9_6 .. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $17,405 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR THE IMPROVEMENT, CLEAN-UP, AND BEAUTIFICATION OF <br />PORTSMOUTH NEIGHBORHOODS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant from the Virginia Department of Environmental <br />Quality in the amount of $17,405 for use for the improvement, clean-up, and <br />beautification of Portsmouth neighborhoods. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $17,405 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 <br />Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $17,405. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 23, 2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
